BRICS forum on governance focuses on stability in ever-changing world

The 2025 BRICS Seminar on Governance and Cultural Exchanges Forum was held on Monday in Rio de Janeiro, focusing on how BRICS cooperation can bring stability and certainty to a rapidly changing world.

The event was attended by more than 120 representatives from BRICS countries and international organizations, including China, Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, Egypt, and Indonesia.

Participants noted that with the historic expansion of BRICS, the mechanism has entered a new stage of "Big BRICS cooperation," further enhancing its representation and influence on the global stage.

Participants praised China's active contributions to global development and governance, as well as its leading role in advancing BRICS cooperation and promoting solidarity among Global South countries. They recognized China's global initiatives as key platforms for fostering shared progress in development, security, and cultural exchange.

The forum also featured a cultural-themed photo exhibition and witnessed the release of two reports on BRICS collaboration.

The forum was organized jointly by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, China International Communications Group, and Brazil's National Institute of Geography and Statistics.
