This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Denmark. Over the decades, the two countries have engaged in friendly exchanges, with environmental protection – and particularly the development of renewable energy – being a highlight.
Since forming an energy cooperation partnership in 2006, China and Denmark have engaged in extensive intergovernmental collaboration in the energy sector. Representative projects include the strategic offshore wind power cooperation between the National Energy Administration of China and the Danish Energy Agency under the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Energy Efficiency as well as the annual report on China's renewable energy outlook conducted by the National Development and Reform Commission of China and the Danish Energy Agency.
While working to realize domestic green and low-carbon development, China and Denmark have also collaborated closely to advance international cooperation in the field of climate change.
