According to Thai media reports, the Constitutional Court announced on July 1 that it had accepted a petition to investigate whether Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra had committed any unconstitutional acts. As a result, the court ordered her suspension from performing her duties as prime minister pending the outcome of the investigation.
