As of 2025, BRICS comprises 11 member countries and 10 partner countries.
According to World Bank data, China led all BRICS nations in GDP, with six member countries surpassing $1 trillion in GDP in 2023. The remaining five member countries, along with all 10 partner countries, each recorded a GDP of over $45 billion that year.
In 2024, Russia was China's largest trading partner among BRICS members, while Vietnam topped the list among BRICS partner countries, according to the General Administration of Customs of China.
The 17th BRICS Summit is scheduled to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from July 6 to 7.
