The People's Liberation Army's aircraft carrier, the CNS Shandong, arrived in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on July 3, to mark the 28th anniversary of its return to China. The nation's first domestically built aircraft carrier, the CNS Shandong received a grand water salute before entering Victoria Harbour. The carrier's visit makes Hong Kong the only city to have hosted two serving Chinese aircraft carriers, after the CNS Liaoning's in 2017.
