Over 300 educators and officials, including Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Under Secretary for Education Jeff Sze Chun-fai, gathered at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for the WeTech for Education Awards on July 2. Winning projects included a speech mini-program for the hearing-impaired and a mini-program for community residents of subdivided flats, showcasing student-driven tech solutions. The Hong Kong Education City and Tencent WeTech Academy also signed a strategic cooperation memorandum to jointly advance educational technology development in Hong Kong.
