More young people from Taiwan are exploring opportunities to study and work, and launch businesses on the Chinese mainland – a trend highlighted by this year's summer camp organized by the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots, which brought together over 1,800 students. In Zhuhai's Hengqin Island, a hub for cross-border innovation with the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, students visited a traditional Chinese medicine museum, a space center and a biotech firm. For many, it's a firsthand experience of the mainland's rapid development – and a chance to replace long-held assumptions with understanding and connection.
