China hosts global eco forum focused on green transition

The 2025 Eco Forum Global Annual Conference opened Saturday in Guiyang, the capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province, bringing together nearly 1,000 guests, including foreign political leaders, scholars and industry experts.

This year's two-day forum features 20 thematic sessions across four sections, centered on the theme "Harmonious coexistence between humans and nature – global collaborative development for green transformation."

For the first time since 2018, international organizations are deeply involved in the forum. Out of the 20 themed sessions, 11 include participation by international organizations, with four independently organized by them.

A new feature this year is the launch of cutting-edge green technologies and products, covering areas such as new energy and solid waste treatment. The event aims to serve as a platform connecting technology selection, achievement display, and market needs, accelerating the application and promotion of advanced green innovations.

The Eco Forum Global is China's only national-level international forum dedicated to ecological civilization. Since its launch, it has been held 12 times.
