Legoland Shanghai Resort, China's first Legoland, officially opened its doors to visitors on Saturday after a month of trial operations.
Major attractions at the park include the world's first Big Lego Coaster, where riders soar through a landscape of towering Lego Minifigures; the 60-meter-high Legoland Observation Tower, offering sweeping views of the entire resort; and Miniland, a signature Legoland attraction featuring Lego-built replicas of iconic landmarks from around the world.
The global debuts of "Shanghai Dreamscapes," an original interactive show which takes the audience on a vivid journey through Shanghai's evolution from traditional neighborhoods to a vibrant global metropolis, and the "Lego Monkie Kid" live show, featuring 13 professional puppeteers and a massive 3.7-meter Bull Demon King puppet, are also standout highlights of the park.
Visitors can also get hands-on by building their own Lego creations.
Spanning 318,000 square meters, Legoland Shanghai Resort is the world's largest Legoland park at the time of its opening. Tailored for families with children between the ages of 2 and 12, the resort features eight themed areas with over 75 interactive rides, shows, and attractions. It also boasts thousands of Lego models built from over 85 million Lego bricks.
