A total of 60,396 people attended the game on Saturday night between Nanjing and Suzhou in the Jiangsu Football City League, also known as "Su Super League", setting a new attendance record at the event. The previous record of 43,617 was set six days ago in a match between Suzhou and Yangzhou.
Before the match, Nanjing were fourth in the standings with 10 points, four points above Suzhou who sat sixth place. Both sides attacked with aggression at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center, but neither managed to find the net, with the record-breaking crowd having to accept a 0-0 draw.
It's the first goalless game of "Su Super League" since it began in May. Both Nanjing and Suzhou remain undefeated. Nanjing will visit Yangzhou next and Suzhou will play Zhenjiang at home.
