Rare diseases are a medical challenge globally. In China alone, there are an estimated 20 million people with a rare disease, 70 percent of them children. On July 5, the China-UK Pediatric Rare Disease Forum opened in Chongqing. Co-hosted by the Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and the UK's Department for Business and Trade, the event brought together leading pediatric experts from both countries.
