Ahead of the BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, New Development Bank (NDB) President Dilma Rousseff reiterated the bank's mission to serve the Global South. Since its founding in 2015, the NDB has approved over 120 projects – worth over $40 billion in total – for emerging economies worldwide.
