Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has stressed the importance of developing the real economy and making solid efforts to build a strong and prosperous nation.

Xi made the remarks during his inspection of a valve manufacturing company in Yangquan City, north China's Shanxi Province, on Monday afternoon.

At Yangquan Valve Co., Ltd., Xi inspected the production workshop, learned about operations and sales, and had a cordial conversation with workers.

"The real economy should not be abandoned, nor should the traditional industries within it," Xi said, emphasizing the need for industrial transformation and upgrading through technological innovation.

He called for solid efforts to achieve Chinese modernization and ensure a better life for the people.
