Seventeen people are missing after mudslides near Gyirong port in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, the border crossing between China and Nepal, local authorities in Xizang said on Tuesday.

Eleven people are missing on the Chinese side and six Chinese construction workers are missing on the Nepalese side.
