The 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) officially opened on July 7, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Gathering 200 elite esports clubs and over 2,000 professional players from around the world, the tournament will feature competition across 24 game titles and 25 individual events. This year's EWC features a record-breaking prize pool of over $70 million – the largest in the tournament's history.
China has sent 22 teams to compete in 23 different titles. The event will run through August 24.
