China's Consulate-General in Christchurch alerted Chinese tourists to traffic safety after a tour bus carrying Chinese nationals crashed on a Southland highway due to bad weather.

Many people were injured after a bus carrying a Chinese tour group overturned on New Zealand's Southland on Tuesday, the Consulate-General said in a statement, citing local police.
