Chinese President Xi Jinping inspected Shanxi Province on July 7 and 8. He paid tribute to fallen heroes of the Hundred-Regiment Campaign in Yangquan City and inspected a local valve manufacturing company. 

He has called on Shanxi Province to further promote the transformation and development of the resource-based economy and strive to write its own chapter in advancing Chinese modernization.
