In this episode of Lucy's Journey, Lucy spoke with American videographer Paschall Landon Douglas about his visit to the Temple of Confucius in Qufu ahead of the Nishan Forum. Douglas talked about how deeply Confucius is embedded in Chinese culture.
Built on the site of Confucius's former residence from 478 BC and part of the UNESCO-listed San Kong complex, the temple spans nine serene, pine-lined courtyards set along a 1.3-kilometer axis. Key highlights include the grand Dacheng Hall; the Apricot Platform, where Confucius taught; the majestic Lingxing Gate; and dozens of ancient steles and imperial inscriptions.
