Former PM of Egypt: Drawing wisdom from history

The Former Prime Minister of Egypt Essam Sharaf articulated his views during the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting in Beijing. He noted that "both our cultures and civilizations have profound potential and have rich cultural resources. We should get rid of the dominance of the Western culture and its dominance with the development of Artificial Intelligence and simultaneous trends and translation technology. Language barriers are no longer hindering our exchanges. I often say that ancient Chinese civilization and the Arab civilization have played an important role in history. Why can't they continue to do so in the future? We must draw wisdom from history and better understand the principles and philosophies set by our ancestors and chart a brighter future with that."
