Wang Yi urges a new narrative for South China Sea: Cooperation, stability, and friendship

Discussions on the South China Sea at this year's ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Plus Foreign Ministers' Meetings reflected a notable shift in tone, with greater confidence injected into the dialogue. Wang attributed this positive momentum to the joint efforts between China and ASEAN countries. However, he also warned that while some countries continue to stir up controversy, those acting as proxies risk ultimately being sacrificed for others' interests.
