The United States imports substantial quantities of goods from Brazil and stands as Brazil's second-largest trading partner.

U.S. goods imports from Brazil in 2024 totaled $42.3 billion, up 8.3 percent from 2023, according to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.

Data shows that nearly one-third of the coffee consumed in the United States comes from Brazil, while more than half of America's orange juice supply originates there.

Experts warn that if the U.S. were to impose a 50 percent tariff on Brazilian imports, the average American consumer would feel the impact acutely.
