EU official warns 30% U.S. tariffs would cripple transatlantic trade

Maros Sefcovic, EU trade commissioner, has cautioned that proposed U.S. tariffs of 30 percent or higher would severely disrupt transatlantic trade, effectively prohibiting commerce as it currently exists. He said supply chains would be heavily affected on both sides of the Atlantic, rendering continued economic relations "almost impossible."
