The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Wednesday it had attacked the entrance gate of the Syrian military headquarters in the capital of Damascus.

The IDF said that it "continues to monitor developments and the regime's actions against Druze civilians in southern Syria."

Huge explosions were earlier reported in Damascus. 

Local Syrian media said that two civilians were injured in the Israeli attack in central Damascus.
