At least 27 people have been confirmed dead and 11 others rescued after a cruise ship capsized in Ha Long Bay, northern Vietnam's Quang Ninh province, on Saturday afternoon due to strong wind and rough seas, local media reported.
The ship was carrying 53 people, including 48 tourists and five crew members, at the time of the accident, according to the local newspaper Tuoi Tre (Youth). Rescue operations are still ongoing.
