Bixiu: The whistling arrow of Xizang's heritage
The bixiu is a Tibetan arrow with a legacy spanning over a millennium. Its wooden tip has four holes, and when released, the arrow cuts through the air with a sharp whistle. In 2007, it was added to Xizang's intangible cultural heritage list and is now a highlight of regional ethnic sports meets – a popular experience for visitors from all over China.
