Protesters took to streets in Tel Aviv and New York recently and called for the end of the Israeli military operations and its "starvation policy"in Gaza.

The ongoing conflict and Israel's blockade have exacerbated the humanitarian disaster in the besieged enclave. At least 115 were dead due to famine and malnutrition amid a near-total lack of food, water and medicine, according to Gaza Government Media Office.

Carrying flour bags and pictures of malnourished Gazan children, the protesters in Tel Aviv held signs reading "Starvation is a war crime" and "We are all responsible. It's being done in our name."

A male protester told China Media Group (CMG) that people gathered here to protest the severe humanitarian disaster happening in Gaza and the starvation policy of Israeli government.

Noting the international agencies have repeatedly warned that famine in Gaza is worsening, the man said Gazans are indeed starving, adding that protesters, including him, called for the lifting of the blockade, allowing humanitarian aid to enter and ending the ongoing conflict in Gaza - a disaster for both Palestinians and Israelis.

In New York, protesters not only called for an end of the Israel-Hamas conflict, but also denounced the continued U.S. support for Israel.

Holding signs reading "Stop starving Gaza" and "End all U.S. aid to Israel," the protesters in New York streets denounced that the U.S. government is an accomplice in the humanitarian disaster currently unfolding in Gaza.

"So we gathered here today to demand the besiege be immediately lifted,"a female protester said. And another woman said during the protest that: "We refuse to sit by and allow the U.S. funding of genocide to continue."

A male protester told CMG that he came here because the Gazans are purposely starved while the U.S. government is an accomplice.

He added that the gate of Rafah should be opened to allow supplies and humanitarian aid to enter, not through those humanitarian organizations that create death traps, but rather through Egypt, as it was done before.
