The 2025 League of Legends World Championship will take place in China from October 14 to November 9.
The tournament will be divided into three stages: the Play-In and Swiss stages will be held at the newly inaugurated Beijing Smart Esports Center from October 14 to 25. Starting from the quarterfinals, the event will move to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai for the knockout stage, running from October 28 to November 2. For the first time, the quarterfinals and semifinals will be held on consecutive days without breaks. The Grand Final will take place on November 9 at the Chengdu Dong'an Lake Sports Park Multipurpose Gymnasium in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
This year's tournament introduces a new best-of-five (BO5) format for the Play-In Stage, where the fourth seed from the best-performing region at the Mid-Season Invitational will compete for a spot in the Swiss Stage. Sixteen of the world's top teams will gather in China to compete for the ultimate glory of the Summoner's Cup.
