To mark the 33rd anniversary of sister-state ties between Hawaii and Hainan, a high-level Hawaiian delegation – featuring legislative leaders, commerce officials and agricultural experts – visited Hainan to explore deeper cooperation in coffee trade, agricultural science, international education, tourism and opportunities linked to the Hainan Free Trade Port.
During their trip, delegates experienced the cultural charm and local flavors of Haikou's historic Qilou Old Street, and visited Hainan University and the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences for exchanges on sustainable agriculture and academic collaboration.
At a special coffee tasting event, they discussed opportunities in cultivation and import-export trade. For many, it was their first time in Hainan. Let's hear their first impressions!
