Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, is in Sweden from July 27 to 30 for economic and trade talks with the U.S.

During the new round of economic and trade talks, CGTN stringer in New York invited young Americans to talk about issues they care about most and their expectations for future cooperation between the two countries.

In this episode, Danny Knight, a 26-year-old student from New York, told CGTN that tariffs directly affect the cost of living and the survival of small businesses, ultimately impacting ordinary Americans. Another student, Isaiah C. L. Harris, 27, points out that the two countries should strengthen cooperation and dialogue in the field of technology.

Both agree that China and the U.S. should promote exchanges in areas such as education, technology and climate issues. As the world's two major powers, they have a responsibility to work together to address global challenges and create more opportunities for peace and mutual benefit, they added.
