Peak flood season hits N China, Beijing on high alert

China has activated a Level Four emergency response in Hebei Province, as torrential rains trigger deadly floods in the region. Heavy rainfall is expected to continue across northern China. The country has entered its peak flood season nationwide starting July 1. Forecasts predict a "North Floods, South Droughts" pattern for July to August. Specifically, Beijing has been on high alert since this Sunday as torrential rain triggers flood and landslide warnings. CGTN reporter Liu Jiaxin reports.
