Since July 26, continuous heavy rainfall influenced by warm, moist air from the edge of the subtropical high has affected Beijing's Miyun, Huairou and Yanqing districts.
The Miyun Reservoir on July 27 saw its largest flood inflow since its construction in 1959. Seventeen armed police officers hiked 13 kilometers to deliver 80 boxes of relief supplies to an isolated village in Fengjiayu Town, Miyun District. In Liulimiao Town, Huairou District, over 1,000 residents were safely evacuated. On Sibaolu Road in Yanqing District, armed police and firefighters deployed heavy machinery to clear landslides and road collapses.
