Crafted in China: From ancient artisanship to modern innovation

Highlighting the ingenuity, spirit, and cultural continuity behind Chinese manufacturing, the new television program "Crafted in China" offers a vivid portrayal of the country's journey from ancient craftsmanship to today's smart industry. Jointly produced by China Media Group and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the series has been airing since July 27.

Rooted in the "Kao Gong Ji" ("The Artificers' Record"), the oldest known technical encyclopedia dating back 2,500 years, the program traces the development of Chinese industrial civilization and explores how ancient wisdom continues to inspire cutting-edge technology.

Today, China boasts the world's most comprehensive industrial system, spanning 41 major categories, 207 intermediate categories, and 666 subcategories. "Crafted in China" connects this modern industrial strength to its cultural and philosophical origins, forging a dialogue between the past and present.

The opening episode spotlights China's booming robotics industry, showcasing 80 robots across 40 models in four major categories: humanoid, industrial, service, and special purpose.

Covering 11 key sectors, the program reveals the enduring spirit behind "Made in China" and offers a fresh perspective on China's new era of industrialization.
