Australia's first domestically-made orbital rocket, Eris, built by Gilmour Space Technologies, crashed just 14 seconds after liftoff during its maiden test flight on July 30. Plumes of smoke were seen rising above the site. The company said the launch was still a success, as all engines fired and the rocket cleared the pad safely.
