China officially launched "MAZU-Urban," an AI-powered multi-hazard early warning system, at the 2025 World AI Conference in Shanghai on July 26. The system integrates satellite monitoring, real-time disaster analysis and AI forecasting models across seven scenarios including floods and typhoons.

During the AI Conference, the China Meteorological Administration donated the system to Mongolia and Djibouti. 35 countries and regions including Pakistan, are already testing the smart agent. It has boosted forecast speed by 50 percent in Pakistan. Customized for each region's data capacity, "MAZU-Urban" delivers tailored disaster protocols through three platforms: desktop, tablet and mobile app.
