A strong earthquake struck off the eastern coast of Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula on Wednesday, with several injuries and tsunami waves with a height of 3-4 meters reported.
The quake was the region's strongest since 1952, the regional seismic monitoring service said.
Japan's Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warning for wide areas along the Pacific coast following the earthquake, with multiple tsunami waves observed along the east coast.
Tsunami warnings were also issued in Hawaii and the west coast of the United States.
