China Media Group (CMG), the nation's flagship broadcaster, launched its "nanny robot expo" in Beijing on Tuesday, highlighting the transformative impact of robotics on daily life and smart home innovations.
The expo, themed "robotic revolution in everyday life," focuses on applications in smart healthcare, intelligent homes, family education and community management.
The event features an interactive competition, providing attendees with firsthand experience of how nanny robots can assist in various household scenarios.
Accompanying the expo, CMG also premiered its micro-documentary series, "Hi Robot," offering an in-depth look at the latest breakthroughs in home-service robotics and exploring their potential to get into millions of households across China. It features interviews with over 30 founders of robotics companies, academicians, and renowned domestic and international experts in embodied intelligence, along with interviews with users from various countries.
As part of the event, CMG released a report about the latest trends in the nanny robot industry. The report indicates a growing demand for elder care services, together with emerging technologies like autonomous decision-making and self-evolution.
Zhou Zhenhong, a member of CMG's editorial board, told the expo that CMG serves as both a chronicler and a promoter of China's technological innovation.
In recent months, CMG has launched a series of robot-themed expos and competitions to promote robotics technology.
