China has won a prestigious space award for its historic Chang'e-6 lunar mission. Christian Feichtinger, executive director of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), says the mission, which brought back the first-ever samples from the far side of the moon, has "raised international enthusiasm." Feichtinger called China's achievements in space exploration "stunning" praising the country for its "openness" and the "opportunities it offers to the international community." "If we want to achieve great things, we need to do this together," he concludes. The 2025 IAF World Space Award will be presented to China later this year.
