The Unsung Ally|Unit 731: Long-Buried Atrocities

CGTN

08:44

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Allied victory in the World Anti-Fascist War, CGTN host Mike Walter made a solemn visit to the former site of the Japanese Army's Unit 731 in the southern suburbs of Harbin. This was the headquarters where Japan planned, organized, and carried out germ warfare during World War II. Unit 731 implemented a systematic program of war crimes, conducting numerous brutal human experiments to develop and produce a range of biological weapons. Inside the exhibition hall documenting Unit 731's violations, faded and incomplete evidence — along with disturbing "special transfer" files — stands as a silent witness to the inhuman atrocities committed here more than eight decades ago.
