Last week, China's esports team TYLOO defeated Denmark's Astralis in the Counter-Strike FISSURE Playground Grand Final to win their first ever international title in this game. Yang Yi, who goes by the name "JamYoung", picked up the MVP award and spoke with Sports Scene's Greg Laffradi about that achievement and what it means for the future of Chinese esports. 

"I think this championship means a lot to us. For me personally, it's an affirmation of my entire career," said JamYoung.

For JamYoung, the MVP honor from HLTV carried special meaning. "I felt very happy when I won this MVP medal. It proves that Chinese players also have the strength to reach this level and win MVP," he added.

TYLOO's rising international fanbase reflects Chinese esports' growing influence. "Foreign fans now cheer for us, and teams learn or adopt our tactics," he said.

Next up is the Esports World Cup, where JamYoung is aiming for at least the quarterfinals. With this historic victory, he and his TYLOO team have set new standards—and their journey is just beginning.
