Australia's Cassiel Rousseau claimed gold in the men's 10-meter platform final, as the diving competitions wrapped up on Sunday at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore.

Rousseau, who previously topped the podium in 2023 in Fukuoka, sealed this victory with the highest score of the final - 99.90 points in the sixth round - to finish with a total of 534.80, capturing his second world title.

"If you're not first, you're last. It definitely feels amazing," said Rousseau after the competition. "Diving has a lot of chops and changes. That's why I love it. You have to have six of the most consistent dives on the day itself; if we had to compete tomorrow, it could have been a completely different podium."

Rousseau also claimed silver earlier at the World Championships in the mixed 3-meter synchronized event with partner Maddison Keeney, as Australia closed out the diving events with two golds and one silver, ranking second in the diving medal table.

Oleksii Sereda, who took bronze in Doha last year, snagged silver this time with 515.20 points. Randal Willars Valdez of Mexico earned bronze with 511.95.

China's Zhu Zifeng placed fourth while 14-year-old compatriot Zhao Renjie, competing at his first World Championships, finished fifth.

The final result marks the second Olympic diving event in which China failed to win gold in Singapore, following the men's 3-meter springboard. This is also the first time since 1986 that China failed to reach the podium in the men's 10-meter platform at the World Championships.
