Both the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions issued black rainstorm warnings – the highest-level alert – on the morning of August 5.

As the torrential rain began to ease, both regions lowered their rainstorm warning signals.

However, the weather is expected to remain unsettled. Other parts of the Greater Bay Area have also been impacted.
