As China and Italy celebrate the 55th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties, the Italian musical "The Divine Comedy" was recently staged at Beijing's Century Theater, leading the audience on a spectacular journey to Europe in the Middle Ages. Adapted from Dante's 14th-century masterpiece, the musical is told in three chapters and features different musical styles. The constant changes in stage design, accompanied by sound and light effects, help create a strong visual impact. After Beijing, the musical will continue to tour in other cities like Guangzhou and Shanghai, serving as a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and Italy.
