In 2019, the township of Daliyabuyi in Xinjiang moved out of the desert to embrace a new life. From being known as the "last desert tribe" to settle into a vibrant new home, the children no longer have to trek miles just to get to school. Now, they can study in bright, sunlit classrooms and write their own futures.

Akramjan Arkin, principal of the township primary school, has witnessed this profound transformation. No longer do the children have to walk over 10 kilometers to attend class. Their classrooms are now connected to the internet, where hot and hearty lunches await them at noon.

The sound of children reading now echoes across the vast desert. This new township has taken root in the sand, and the young ones who once journeyed through endless wind and dust are now stepping boldly toward a broader, brighter future.
