2025 World Games conducts final full-scale opening ceremony rehearsal

The final full-scale rehearsal for the opening ceremony at the Chengdu World Games was conducted in front of the host city's Tianfu International Convention Center on Wednesday, with most of the key personnel taking part, in an effort to make sure the gala goes off without a hitch.

The director's team conducted the last full-scale rehearsal before the curtain raiser, including the artistic performances and procession of athletes. A number of Olympic gold medalists who were chosen to serve as flag bearers, including China's Shi Jingwei and Guo Dan, had already arrived in Chengdu, and most of them participated in the run-through as well.

Meanwhile, the organizers said the lighting and sound effects have also been optimized and adjusted.

With the completion of the last full-scale run-through, the preparations have entered the final countdown, with the international sporting and cultural event set to officially get underway on Thursday evening at the "Tianfu Eaves" urban gallery.
