On April 18, 1942, the daring Doolittle Raid changed WWII history. Led by aviation pioneer Lt. Col. James Harold Doolittle, 16 B-25 bombers struck Japan before vanishing into China's skies, with Crews 3 & 5 parachuting over Quzhou city, east China's Zhejiang Province. Defying Japanese occupation forces, local people risked their lives to rescue and shelter the stranded American pilots. Decades later in 2015, raiders' descendants returned to Quzhou, sparking the creation of the Memorial Hall to the Doolittle Raid in 2018 – now a living testament to courage and cross-Pacific friendship forged in war's darkest hours.
