In the behind-the-scenes featurette "Portraits of Humanity," the cast and director of "Dead to Rights" offer a glimpse into the characters that drive the emotional core of the film.
Set in Nanjing in 1937, "Dead to Rights" follows a group of ordinary people who take refuge in a photo studio as the city falls due to Japanese aggression. When they discover a roll of film containing evidence of Japanese atrocities, these strangers unite to protect it. What begins as a fight for survival becomes a mission to preserve truth and dignity.
