Residents of Jinxing, a small mountain village in Kaihua County, Quzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province, once made a living by cutting trees and farming the land. The forest was overused and the hills turned bare.
Today, things look very different. With strong support from the local government, ecological restoration has revived the village. Rural tourism and homestay businesses are thriving. Jinxing has transformed from a quiet, struggling village into a rising star. A healthy environment is now bringing real economic value and a better life for its people.
