China's men's basketball team trounced India 100-69 on Thursday, recording its second straight win in Group C at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Hu Mingxuan and Zhao Jiayi scored 17 points apiece, while Cheng Shuaipeng and Wang Junjie each added 13, as the Chinese men cruised to an easy victory following a narrow 93-88 win over Saudi Arabia in Tuesday's tournament opener.
China shot 15-for-28 from beyond the arc, with Hu Jinqiu and Liao Sanning also scoring in double digits, contributing 11 points apiece.
Hu Mingxuan buried two three-pointers, while Wang, Liao, and Gao Shiyan added one each as China raced out to a 29-14 lead after the first quarter, before increasing the gap to 53-31 at halftime.
The Indians continued to fight hard after the break, but China rattled off a 10-0 run bridging the third and fourth quarters, building an unsurmountable 78-48 cushion with eight minutes and 57 seconds remaining in the contest.
China will go up against Jordan in its third and final group stage game on Saturday, while India takes on host nation Saudi Arabia.
