Fragmented physical activity, also called intermittent exercise, means fitting brief, simple workouts into your daily routine.

According to Associate Professor Wang Xiuqiang from the Translational Medicine Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, even just a few minutes of activity – such as walking up to the third floor and back – can contribute to one's total daily exercise and help activate the body's health potential.
