Quzhou City in Zhejiang Province has long served as a vital transportation and logistics hub at the junction of four provinces: Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi and Anhui. Quzhou Port has now emerged as a key player in regional trade, with its container throughput growth rate consistently leading in Zhejiang.

To date, the cumulative cargo throughput of Quzhou Port has exceeded 31 million tonnes, shifting 12 million tonnes of freight from road to water transport, and saving businesses nearly 380 million yuan (around $53 million) in logistics costs.

In recent years, the Qujiang port area has strengthened its supporting industries, enhanced smart port operations and expanded its shipping network. For foreign trade, it has a dedicated container route, specifically to Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. The first shipment on this route was bound for Montreal, Canada. This route offers a cost-effective alternative to road transport for shipping goods from Quzhou to overseas markets.
